Yopper has a recipe for this, where she used a yeast starter. I didn't use the starter. Fermentation got stuck on me a few times, each time I just added another packet of yeast (red star Champagne)...

WLP 840 American Lager Yeast question

I pitched this yeast at 75F, but the wort dropped down to 43, it's now at a steady 50. Should I make a starter and pitch? again raise the temp of the wort or am I just boned?
