Yes, line up one of the chuck "teeth" with the flat on the shaft and tighten. if needed file another flat on the shaft inline with anothe teeth on the chuck

Not really that old, so I thought making a starter and put it on the stir plate it should take off. After 4 days nothing. Is it dead...

I think you are under carbed also, the big bubbles are just air, hold glass up to light and see if you have small bubbles rising from sides, my guess is no. set pressure at 30 psi and let it set cold...

Standard stone with barb end from, morebeer, just tapped it into an old dip tube and silver soldered it. Probably don't even neet to solder, it was tight.

Like your idea, Huaco, but the compression nut (furrel)clamps onto the tube so it wont slide, the tube pretty much can't come off the compression fitting once tightened.

as far as cleaning, i usually run PBW through my pumps and CFC after brewing so i figure...

Mcmaster carr parts and an old dip tube. This works...

Bottom line.....the longer the cold lagering you do the better. I'd have no problem drinking a beer 8 months old, as long as you keep the temps in the low...
