I picked up a 12er of New Belgium last year...

I picked up a 12er of New Belgium last year sometime in hopes that I'd get good beer and bottles but after washing them I'd say 4 or so had weird hairline cracks from what seemed like a manufacturing...

I've gotten krausen bubbling out the top of my flask at that level a couple times before. If you have any, a couple drops of fermcap will help keep it under control.

I have a wing capper and I always go for Widmer or Sam Adams.

Not a big Newcastle drinker these days but their bottles are surprisingly sturdy. They're clear though so I use them for Cider.

Remove the plug, apply some keg lube and reassemble. See if that does the trick. Also I would use Starsan in a spay bottle to check for leaks as opposed to soap.

There are other shelves and things higher up that get in the way too. I was lazy and this worked for me :) Removing the door skin completely would be optimal in my opinion. YMMV
