True...but at the same time, I've had BMC-like cream ales (Narragansett) and I've had lights-out delicious cream ales (slumbrew). They each have their own place.

Jack's Abbey will make your trip worth it....seriously. There is also Cambridge Brewing Company in Cambridge and Slumbrew in Sommerville. Both are doing great things.

That is a lot of crystal and like sweet beers. You also shouldn't need that much carapils with all that crystal in it. 2-5% at most.

Move more of your hops to later in the boil...maybe eliminate...
