I've watched guy's bottle into plastic bottles...

I've watched guy's bottle into plastic bottles with screw on lids on youtube. The plastic bottles will hold more pressure than glass bottles.

I've never tried it though.

Question about my brew - how long should fermentation take?

I'm brewing a Shiner Bock clone from AHS. It's a mini-mash.

OG - 1.050

I made a one liter starter for it. I pitched the starter as soon as it got down to 75 degrees, then I put it in the fridge...

Another starter question. An easy one.

So, I've read all about starters. One thing I can't seem to understand is, do you pitch a starter and a vile of yeast, or is the starter alone what you pitch?

My Black Lager stopped at 1.018. What to do now?

10 days in and it's pretty much stopped fermenting at 1.018. I kept it in a temp controlled fridge at 54 degrees for the last 10 days.

OG 1.051
SG 1.018

The instructions said it should end up...

Boil 6 pints of water, add can contents (hopped malt extract), and sugar or dry malt if desired, stir. Pour into fermentor, add cold water, pitch yeast....

Can I mix two Muntons beer kits to make one strong beer?

I have two Muntons beer kits that were given to me. A American Style Beer kit, and a Canadian Style Beer kit.

I don't want to brew either kit really, so I'm thinking about mixing the two in 6...
