I used 3/4 inch styrofoam from Home Depot. Cutting and Gluing it into place took just under 20 minutes. Vacuuming up the Styrofoam took another 10. It was time well spent in my opinion.

I Agree with MalFet on the boiloff. I use a 28 gallon Italian Kettle that was the economy variety offered by NorthernBrewer a few years ago. My spoon has marks at 7 and 12 gallons for 5 and 10...
