What was your original gravity and your gravity when you transferred?? I leave all my beers in the primary for about 3 weeks. I only secondary if I have a fruit addition. Keeping it on the yeast...

Good luck... I'd check out the local breweries and see if they have any decommissioned kegs they will sell... Hard to find them up here...

Mine came off fairly easy. I didn't have to use any tools. I bent the metal back as normal as I could get it then put the clear plastic piece back on. Good luck, hope that it works out for you!
