What was your original gravity and your gravity when you transferred?? I leave all my beers in the primary for about 3 weeks. I only secondary if I have a fruit addition. Keeping it on the yeast...

Mine came off fairly easy. I didn't have to use any tools. I bent the metal back as normal as I could get it then put the clear plastic piece back on. Good luck, hope that it works out for you!
