Stove top boil?

I Do a 5 gal all grain, and boil it on the stovetop. (glasstop) Does this method work as well as doing it over the flame broiler? Seems to work for me! And any boil over is easy to clean on the glass...

Isn't light bad for beer though? A heating pad around ur fermentor helps a ton! Or set the fermentor on it. Works like a charm up here in the mountains of Colorado when it's tits cold!
