I always boil with my lid off. Especially when I'm trying to boil down 6.5 gallons to 5 or 5.5. Also, if you start to get a boil over, spraying it with a fine mist of water usually stops it.

Firestone Walker Double Jack is my absolute favorite beer. I want to try an all grain clone, 5 gallon batch size. Has anyone here ever tried this one?

It is a 5 gallon batch. I didn't even think about losing the trub! Good call. Lol. Most of the recipes I've found call for 10 pounds of fruit.
