Yes, but you have to incorporate some extra steps and equipment. Look up all-grain brewing. I think what your looking for is an extract version of the recipe you attached?

If I'd have to guess why they calculate differently, I'd say each program might use a slightly different Alpha Acid value for each individual hop. Completely possible depending on where and what year...

good question. I just went to check on the fermenters and realized this would be a problem. That said, for my purposes, I'm going to assume the temp is roughly 5-10 degrees lower than ambient....

Glad to hear I might have something that'll work, lol. I tossed some ice in to get the temp down quicker. Out of curiosity, how deep do you submerge your fermenters?

+1 to Golddiggie. I have a Beer Gun and it works fantastic. Your beer is always chilled and ready to go. Bottle conditioning is great as long as you have time to chill the bottles before the party....

5 years brewing. The basic brewing kit was a 30th birthday present from my friends. 12 months later I had built my own AG cooler setup along with a 4-tap kegerator. Great hobby.

Woohoo! first batch since my son was born

Feels good to be back in the saddle. I'm actively sparging an IPA:

70% pale uk
17% biscuit
12% C60
2% coffee malt

Bittered & aroma'd with some nice floral wild hops. Don't know the strain...

I have done this and the batch turned out fine. But, I did it in the Winter when there were less bugs to attempt entering my covered pot.
