ones writing ability has nothing to do with 23. in fact, if its in prose i'm scoring it harder. its best to keep it simple (base style + briefly state what makes special)

it might be a lil too dark & malty for style, but IMO it'll taste better than original recipe. I'd just roll with it, tho adding 2lbs extra light LME to convert it into a maibock would work too.

I'd pitch into the first batch once its down to temp (50ish) and rack the 2nd batch when its ready. i'd think twice about putting 6gals into a 6gal carboy tho.
