Its completely open when I pour, its just a mess.

Ok, I'm trying to understand your 2nd paragraph. If the beer is carbonated, the gas used to pressurize the keg will never make it to the bottle; its just being used to displace the liquid in the keg....

Dispensing a full keg at once, can I use air instead of co2?

I'd like to get a keg setup some day (just to force-carb, I'd like to then bottle it), but that costs money and I really can't justify spending what it requires to get a good keg system.

So my...

As fermentation is winding down I'm debating wether or not I should carbonate it. I'd have to bottle-carb as I have no other means, and I *hate* the sediment that bottle-carbing creates. Is flat...

My first cider attempt

We have a small orchard, so we decided to make a batch of hard cider this year. We press it ourselves, so it is unpasteurized, pure cider.

Ingredients:
3 gallons cider
Lalvin 1118 yeast (its...

Raspberry/Strawberry wine has a weak flavor, what to do?

I used 7.5lb of raspberries and 3.5lb strawberries to make a 3-gal batch of wine. I started it about 3 months ago and tasted a sample today after racking it. It has a decent kick from the alcohol,...

My plan was to attach my brake bleeder to the carboy while stirring. With my bleeder attached even a gentle swirl drops the vacuum quite a bit.

I suppose my main goal is simply to stir/agitate the...
