Ale Pail Question

I know it is typically fine to leave the lid unsnapped for primary fermentation, as the CO2 will push out any bugs. However, I plan on leaving the beer in the Ale Pail for three weeks, and skipping...

Brewed this up last night. Took a little longer...

Brewed this up last night. Took a little longer than I thought due to the stove being not-so-powerful, but wort smelled and tasted alright. I am doing the primary in an ale pail with the lid placed...

AHS Dry Stout Kit

Hello All,

I just bottled this last night. Wort tastes pretty good (for being wort), and as such I think I might give this a try earlier than I anticipated, maybe a month.

Brewing steady, but the krausen is crazy! Is it ok to punch down every so often? Never brewing beer before, I'm not sure if this will settle or if I will have to stir occasionally.

I ended up going the 5 gallon, loose lid route....

I ended up going the 5 gallon, loose lid route. Beginning temps were a little cool, but it's starting to get going now I believe. I will be taking a reading tomorrow to make sure. Thanks again!

I believe I am going to split the batch up, half carbed, half still. I've got a hard cider going as well that I'm definitely going to leave still (personal preference). Thanks again for the help!
