Starting Gravity

I just brewed a 5-gallon batch of Ordinary Bitter. Receipe as follows:

5 lbs DME
1/4 lbs Carapils
6 0z Crystal 60L
.9 oz Challenger(boil)
.5 oz Fuggles (finish)

My SG 10 about 1.058 at 80...

I am brewing this weekend (the first batch in a long time) and am kegging it. But I don't have a fridge to keep it cold. I saw something called a Brewcap that will let you pressurize a 2-liter soda...

I am thinking of going to AG and have a question. I see the way people trick out the coolers w/ piping and such for straining, but wouldn't a plain cooler and a grain bag work the same?

I seem to remember reading about using a product called Malta found in Latin groceries for a starter. I think it is a non-fermented malt extract. Anybody hear of this?
