Hefeweizen recipee

Hello,

I got a hefewiezen kit from my local brew shop. It has the following ingredients:

6 lbs wheat LME
1 oz hallertau 60min

I pack of wyeast 3068

I was planning on splitting the LME...

IPA are fairly simple... Use beer calculus from hopville's website. Stick with some kits from Austin home brew or northern brewer until you get confidence I design your own. I've never had a bad kit...

I've been doing some research on rye ales lately. I want to brew either a hoppy rye pale ale, or a rye ipa. I am still an extract brewer, and it seams like everyone agrees you cannot brew a rye ale...

Ok... Im going to add .5 oz crystal at the 10 minute mark. And another .5 oz crystal to dry hop. I'm also going to cut the caramel down to 8oz.... Sound better?

I came up with an IPA recipe on beer calculus. I want to stick with the 4 common C hops. I'm looking for a nice hoppy IPA. What do you think? I'm a newbie so any advise is acceptable.

It just worries me because it actually tasted better flat and warm at bottling then it does now (about 2 weeks later).
