I bottled my wine, per the instructions and got as much gas as I physically could (pumping via hand pump for days, vigorously stirring with drill mounted stir stick). The "burp" test still revealed...

Anyone here use a bottling bucket with spigot for filling wine bottles? Everywhere I read recommends hooking your filler directly to the siphon.

So I have been using a winesaver handpump attached to my air lock and it seems to be working... Lots of bubbles Everytime come floating to the surface.

OK. Wonder why the kit instructions say 2 min by hand.

Anyways, the sample tasted very good, not gassy at all.

I guess going in everyday and stirring for the next week or so would work right?

Using a mix stir attached to drill I vigorously stirred for about 2-3 minutes. When I pulled out to test if it was degassed, a puff of air still came out

The wine kit said stir by hand for 2...

Is don't see how the CO2 could dissipate out of the carboy. That would mean something would have to leak in to fill the vacuum left by the exiting CO2.

Regardless, what are the issues with 1.5...
