Thanks, I read through the thread, but I must have overlooked that. I want to drink nothing but the best mead as well and just wanted to have a batch ready by Christmas (poor planning on my part)....

Ok thanks, that makes sense. So there should not be any nutrients added until the fermentation starts? There are several recipes floating around that mention adding the nutrients prior to pitching....

You should check in Pj's diagram thread. You will find what you need there to build one for cheaper than what you will find pre-fabed. That is the way to go really if you have the resources to do it....
