to date, this is the highest BJCP score I have gotten, at 42. Need to make it again soon.

I do the brown ale as an all grain 10gal, and do 5gal with the raspberries.

glad it finally finished. Likley you had a slow starting (old) yeast, way underpitched, or did not have enough oxigenation.

You need at least 2 gallons pre boil. I do it this way yo extract as much as I can from the grain. I move the grain bag to a strainer at the top of the kettle and pour hot water over it.

it's all about the mobility. I move mine to the mouth of the garage and brew with the door open if it is windy, or really sunny (I burn easily), or outside on a cool sunless day. takes 30sec to move...

I would add 1-2 whole beans (Split open) when you rack it to a carboy for bulk aging. Give it at least 1 week. You can use a wine thief to taste the progress.
