I'd worry more about the smoked malt than the bacon. I used 8 oz of that in a brown I made. It was like drinking a campfire -terrible.

I did a raspberry porter with 4.5 lbs of raspberries. It was delicious, but very raspberry. I would think if you want it to be more subtle, go for about half that.
