damn it, none of my local shops have chocolate...

damn it, none of my local shops have chocolate wheat right now. :(
I have chocolate malt and debittered black in stock, should I give one of those a try?

Hit all my temps on the nose, collect my wort and my pre-boil gravity is 1.044 instead of the estimated 1.067...

Did you dry hop?
Tasted mine the other day (still in primary) and it was pretty nice, good balance of spice and sweet from the orange, definitely not the overpowering grapefruit you are noticing.

efficiency's impact on taste

Say you have 2 batches of the same beer, all other things being the same lets say one was brewed with 12 lbs of 2 row and hit 70% efficiency, the other brewed with less grains but hit 85% efficiency,...

I thought I would have a keg available for my IPA but it looks like I might not have one available for a bit.
Hops have already been in for 7 days, should I rack into another carboy to get it off...

Kegging question

If I have a beer thats ready to keg but no room in the keezer can I just throw it in the keg like normal, hit it with 12psi and let it chill till I can put it in the keezer?

So my Imperial IPA had lost its umpphhh...

I kegged a pretty strong (11%) imperial IPA in early December and despite it starting out very good it just never really got drank for some reason (I think it scared people) and I still had about 1/2...

Full boils

So I finally got a nice 11 gallon kettle so I can do full boils.
What I have found though is that most if not all extract kits are designed for partial boils.
What type of calculations do I need to...
