Its fine. What would that be 1 tbsp of alcohol in 5 gallons beer? Its not like the rubbing alcohol would have bacteria in it, either.

Pre-boil volume was exactly 3 gallons. Boiled down to 2.3-2.4 gallons, and my carboy holds 2 full gallons. Having my PBV at 3 gallons is probably why my OG was 1.05 and not 1.06. Too much sparge...

I don't know how to explain it, but my recipes where I buy fresh DME from my LHBS always come out without extract-tang that kits do.
