I went ahead and crashed it. It took off in about four hours after pitching and has been going strong. So far so good so we will see how it finishes.

I am brewing in the morning and would prefer to decant rather than letting the starter go over...

Probably left over krausen from fermentation that didn't drop out if suspension. I've had it in several of my beers over the years. It will be fine. Just try to leave it behind when racking.

I also use ibrewmaster. I brewed a recipe that said the OG should be 1.066 at 70% efficiency. I put it in ibrewmaster and it came out 1.058 at 75% efficiency. I was concerned but brewed as planned....
