Have you tried your hop spider design yet? Reason I ask is because I had one made for me very very similar to yours, where the od of the spider was just a couple inches less...

FYI - do not use non-SS wire to tie up your keg hop bag...

Brewed my best batch to date IMHO recently - a IIPA something similar to hopslam - 24lbs grain, 12oz hops for 5 gal.

After about a week in the keg, I started to get a very very strong metal...

Another FYI...the batch I just transferred to keg...

Another FYI...the batch I just transferred to keg yesterday had a FG of 1.012. I also used 2 packs of S-05. Mine however only had an OG of 1.084 so I think I'm right around 9.5%.
