Yep I added the nibs, also some brown sugar and some vanilla expresso. Turned into a crazy stout. Chocolate, coffee, and wonderful.

I'm pretty sure they are aluminum as that's what I was told when I got them from Cap Brewery. they are lighter than SS that's how they called it out.

Tops are still on them, not to beat up either.
