The cooler won't cause any problems because it's pre-boil, so no need to worry about bleaching it. How are you transferring the beer to the fermenator and keg? Plastic syphon and lines? Maybe...

I'd say don't worry about the theoretical IBU being 150 or higher. I have done several that calculated to 200+ in theory, but if you like west coast IPAs like Stone Ruination or Green Flash Palette...

IBU Calc issues

I've read that Pliny clones will calculate around a theoretical 200 IBU, but will end up at around 90, 95 in reality. All I've seen were 200+ and I'll probably go with that when I try making it...

CTZ/Columbus is often credited with resin or dank characteristics, and I've had a few good examples to prove the reputation. Do those attributes not come through when only used to dry hop? I've...

You can roll up the end like a tube of toothpaste and crimp it with some pliers to make it fit. You may end up with a lot of dead space in the cooler though, since your valve level is pretty high...

I haven't tried this myself so I'm clueless here, but this surprises me. Won't all/most of the aroma from the first wort hops fly away over the course of a 60-90 minute boil? I would have expected...

Double IPA versus Imperial IPA

I've been told a double IPA is something like 7.5 to 8.5% and an imperial is something like 8.5+. (This is how a local brewery explained their classification to me. I'm sure it's not universal) I...
