I suppose you could if you sanitize it, but why not just play it safe and boil some more when you're ready to bottle? It's not like sugar is super expensive.

Is anyone else having issues with BMW's crush? I've brewed two batches, and they both had horrible efficiency. When I was mashing I could see a ton of whole kernels.

That's an STC-1000 that someone wired and put into a box. You can spend the $65 if you don't want to wire it yourself, or you can just buy an STC-1000 and wire it yourself for about $20.
