Interested in this yeast as well, have always wanted a dried good Belgian yeast. Online seems to be $6 which hopefully will come down in price.

I'd say go for it and let us know how it goes.

You can also switch to making session beers like milds, bitters, small saisons - not many hops and less that 8 lbs of grain. Buying in bulk you could knockout a beer at maybe $10 when saving yeast.

I hear ya, but fermenting in stainless is very attractive, especially right in boil pot. I currently use buckets and it's one extra possible contamination spot plus you have replace it fairly often....

What's you favorite Belgian dry yeast?

I prefer using dry yeast over liquid (there I said it)-it's taken me a few years to admit it and I still use liquid yeast I just find it a pain to deal with vs the ease of dry.
