I've used vector magic in the past when I needed something to be cleaned up some. Great little program, don't know if I'd buy it but when your on the road working on something it's a nice help.

Just get some dry malt extract and boil it for 15 minutes to get a decent wort. Chill down to 70 and pitch your yeast.

For a porter I'd also recommend no more than 4 oz. In the past I've soaked them in vodka for a day before adding to the secondary just to make sure.
