If you have the time (2 weeks) use 1/3 table...

If you have the time (2 weeks) use 1/3 table sugar primer before you rack the beer into the keg. You will get a much better infusion of co2 and avoid that young beer taste when you're anxious to try...

It's not rust (aluminum), but I do know this keg used to be filled with Guiness. My guess is that it is the old residue as it seems to clean up pretty easy in the few spots I've tried.

New to Hbt from central MA

I have a spare keg that I want to fill but don't have the plumbing on my gas tank to preasurize more than one at a time. Has anyone used a sugar primer in a keg? Does it work just like bottling?
