Time to get a carboy, then you can watch without opening.

If there's two numbers "lit up" its between those, if there's three numbers "lit up" go with the middle. Mine usually always have multiple cells with a bit of color.

Its the opposite for me. I get less hangover off my own brews, but I also swirl up the dredges and drink them after I pour to get those sweet hangover preventing b vitamins.

Oh and yes mine is bottle conditioned. When I first tasted it I swirled all the bottles a bit to rouse the yeast and see if it would clean it up. Apparently it has cleared quite well so far.
