You're gonna need a bigger pot. Sure, you can do partial boils. Boil your wort and top off with water. But I personally don't like to do that. It's a PITA and some styles of beer just don't work...

What other things do you need? Do you bottle or keg? If you don't keg, a keg setup makes a great gift.

Oxyclean Free. I wash everything down with it and rinse with plenty of hot water. I try to make sure everything dries thoroughly before its packed away too.
