I also use two 1500w heat sticks plugged into two separate 20A outlets. I reach boil temps pretty quickly and get a really vigorous boil. No controller is required.

Thanks for the feedback. I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the MM-3 with stainless rollers and 1/2" shaft. I figured its worth a few extra bucks if I never have to buy another mill.
