When i set mine I also make sure the gauge can go back in without too much effort.

I only asked about the reverse because i actually did that last weekend, another strike for buzzed brewing :)

First batch ever today, 20 minutes into boil started raining... Pain in the ass to keep the flame at the right temp, but other than that no worries. Think I'll name this batch "acid rain" :-)

First batch boiling right now, and I actually feel like I know what im doing ( maybe that's a bad sign ;-)
