This was an experimental pale ale, a smash more or less, and yes i would agree not to use any citra at 60 and i would also pair it next time with another hop for flavor and aroma

yeah when we used a immersion chiller we waited 5min to start the chiller, i geuss it slipped our minds about the difference in counterflow chilling since we are usally buzzed by the end of the boil...

i should have added that i used a similar "spice bag" when i did a pumpkin beer last year as my priming sugar cooled and it seemed to refresh the pumpkin pie smell at bottling and it lasted a month...
