I grew my first year cascade hops last year...

I grew my first year cascade hops last year within 15 feet of a black walnut. The trunk is about 3 foot in diameter. My cascade did very well. I had 3 bines total that got to about 20 ft.

My cascade hops took 2-3 weeks. Part of the problem was they shot out laterally for a while and than came up. So they were growing but were growing sideways.
