I planted my rhizomes Sat. and on one of them I noticed white spots, a couple others there was something similar to cob web on them.
I'm not sure if this could be some type of infection or parasite....

If I remember correctly I cold conditioned around 54*.
I think I remember that they are cold conditioned slightly above lagering temps. Cooler fermentation temps work out well for the kolsch strains.

As long as you clean up the welds, assuming they aren't extremely porous, you should be all right. You can repasivate them to prevent rusting using BKF or some type of stainless cleaner/protector....
