My mum got me 1.5kg of rubarb to try some ... Got it mushed and strained after a 24hr soak and its passed the 1st stage ... Racked it once now and its a nice pale pink colour ... Had a little taste...

Thats wut i do ... Ask friends and family to save any empty shelf bought wine bottles with screw lids clean them then sterilise

How long should i be leaving it to ferment

Left it in a winebrew bucket for 24 hours with everything but yeast theb strained it ... Transfared it to demijohn and added yeast ... Been in there for...

Backwards pressure on airlock

Just set up a 1gal demijohn for my mum with what she called a turbo cider (i dono just followed the recipe she wanted) but now after about 2 hours it was starting to bubble threw the airlock but now...

And i have 2.5kg of blackberries ive picked over the past few days thawing...

I buy sanitizer stuff from my local wilkosons (uk) it says to add 4 tea spoons of it to 1litre and then put the lid on your bucket or what ever and let the steam goto work ... Also says you can do it...

Noob Q about pulp bags

Ould i be able to use a pillow case for holding the pulp in the first stage of making my blackberry wine or would i NEED to get a proper nylon bag for this

I plan the rinse out the pillow case...
