did not use puree from can. I used distilled water. It could be the kettle or extract. Why would the extract cause a taste like this?

smashing pumpkin off flavor

I moved my northern brewer smashing pumpkin over to secondary today. I tasted a bit of the wort and there was a sharp metallic flavor to it. What could this be and should I be concerned?

I guess I'm thinking of it along the lines of if you pull out a bottle of ketsup, open it, and put it in the fridge, then I wouldn't want to leave it out all the next day at room temp and try eating...
