Yes, you can save in the fridge for a couple days (I wouldn't go too much past 3. Your nose will tell you!) or the freezer for much longer.

To speed things up I upgraded to the 1/2" diameter bottling filler (available at many online sellers).
I do mostly 22 oz or 750 ml bottles (the sparkling cider bottles are great...like Martinelli's)...

Even with my set-up below, I find it easier to have 3 "stock pots" heating water on the stove for the sparge while I mash. Saves on trips to the propane dealer.
