I've used both several times and they are similar...
I've used both several times and they are similar in quality. the Festabrew is easier to make good beer since it comes with good dry yeast and a full wort bag. But I have to say I like brewhouse...

I used a half teaspoon in 5 gallons that was stuck at 1.042, and it brought it down to 1.022, they have been in bottles for 3 months now and there is no problem with overcarbonation... worked great...

very few people have a problem getting their home brew warm enough, because 18C-28C is way to warm, you should be shooting for 16C-19C, check whatever yeast you are using for its ideal temperature
