A neighbor gave me a 3.3 lb jug of Munich malt LME, he claimed that it clouds his beer so he didn't use it anymore. Is this true?

For those of you that ferment in buckets... I found a hop strainer that is cheap and works very well. It is a 600 micron plastic strainer that fits in the top of the bucket. Cost is about $4.80! No...

Oh!

This was a perfect example of doing too many things at once. I'll bet that distractions are responsible for most brewing errors. This was a recipe that I was reducing into a halve batch. Reduced...

I have had an pale ale in the primary fermenter for 1 week. While looking over my brew notes I realized that I screwed up the hop schedule. The IBU's will be way over of the style range. Could I add...

I had the exact same thing happen to a simple willamette pale ale. I used the same sanitizing process, brewed the same, fermented, bottled, and conditioned the same way. The first couple bottles were...

Same old thing

I'm getting burned out on the heavy grapefruit notes that are so prominant in all the pale ale's nowdays. Can anybody recommend a hop(s) substitution that will be a refreshing change.
