Maybe....but, maybe not. I understand that it is supposed to be the same strain, but I can only tell you my empirical results and I would take WLP001 over US-05. It just tasted cleaner.

My process is to hit it with 10 psi just to seal the lid and then put into my fermentation freezer w/temp controller. I also backfill with CO2 before I transfer so that keeps oxidation to a minimum.
