One stroke of the racking cane/piston assembly will start a siphon when immersed in as little as six inches of beer or wine; less than six inches may require a second stroke. Includes a removeable diverter piece (essentially a big racking tube tip) to minimize sediment pickup.
Plastic; can be disassembled for cleaning and sanitizing.

Just racked with my 1/2" auto siphon, and am in love with the thing. Easy to sanitize and use, and it moves beer much quicker than a 3/8" tube. Highly recommended.

I don't know how I survived without one of these things. It works perfectly but it does feel like it might break when you're attaching or removing a line.

Everytime that I try and use this it falls apart into my beer. It has become a joke, but I still have faith. This one came with my and might be defective.
