One stroke of the racking cane/piston assembly will start a siphon when immersed in as little as six inches of beer or wine; less than six inches may require a second stroke. Includes a removeable diverter piece (essentially a big racking tube tip) to minimize sediment pickup.
Plastic; can be disassembled for cleaning and sanitizing.

    Price: $12.00

Pros: Easy, intuitive design, greatly reduces siphon messes

    Cons: More surfaces to infect

    Recommended? Yes

After starting siphons the old way, this product made life a lot simpler. Now I don't have soda/beer running all over the place making a huge mess. It's simple and hugely useful for bottling/transferring to secondary.

    Price: $12.00

Pros: simple to use after spraying star san on, no more blowing into my carboy cap and spray germs on my precious brew, use to siphon from kettle, keg, 6 gal carboy, 1 gal jug!

    Cons: none

    Recommended? Yes

I'd put this product side by side with my star san interms of "take anything you want from my brew equipment, but leave these!"

I don't want to live in a world without an autosiphon every again.

    Price: $8.00

Pros: Cheap, comes in different sizes to fit either small growler or carboy, long

Cons: heat sensitive, melts easily, becomes cracked with use

    Recommended? Yes

works well. Make sure you use cold water or you will accelerate the cracking. After some time it will become warped and will not work properly.
