I have several hops plants I grew this summer in I think about 4-5 gallon pots. Well, I'm moving and can't plant them in the ground or store them inside.

Will they survive the Chicago winter outside in their pots? This was their first year. I will plant them in the ground come spring when I'm in my new house.

Cheers!

I've done it in Michigan. Keep them from as much exposure as possible . I kept mine in my garage. At a minimum, I would put them as near the house as possible. (Probably western exposure). Cut them all the way back and put a tarp over them.
Hope you have a "hoppy" ending!
Scott
