Can anyone give me a starting point for an estimated efficiency with the default gap on the Crankandstein 2A? I will be using my mill for this first time this weekend and I'm trying to build a recipe. Thanks.

adjust the recipe for 60-65% efficiency so you don't come out too low, and see what you get. Adjust your next recipe for what you get on this batch.

Is this going to be your first all grain batch? If you have been using the LHBS crush I would start at the efficiency you have been getting and take notes. The default setting for the 2a is around .045"

No. I typically plan for 70% using the lhbs mill.
