Got two plants this spring when the father-in-law went to visit family in Oregon. The family has a small winery up there. He gets to telling them that I homebrew my own beer and they proceed to tell him their best friend owns a Hop Farm. They went to visit the friend and he gave them 2 plants (Cascade and Tettnang) as well as about a pound of whole leaf Cascade for me. I used the BYO method of building a hop trellis in a container. They each grew to about 21 feet. Hardly got any Cascade but the Tettnang took off like crazy. Just picked these yesterday.

They look great. My 1st yr cascade rhizome is full of hops and the Willamette hasn't produced a single hop cone, although the plant grew well. It's still too early to pick the cascase but I'm certainly considering a harvest ale with these pretty little buds.
