Initial taste

My lager has been fermenting for one week. I did my first gravity check today and it read 1.010. I have been advised by brewers through this forum to leave my beer fermenting for 3weeks minimum. I have had a few temperature issues with the hot weather, however a cold towel dealt with this. I had a quick taste - the beer was reasonably palatable however very watery, sugary and fizzy. Is everything going to plan?!?

Not sure what you're asking, but it'd be helpful if you posted your recipe and process, including yeast and fermentation temps.
