I think im pretty handy, EXCEPT when it comes to electrical. I was thinking of adding a heat stick to my recirculated turkey fryer method. I dont want to overload my house circuitry.

What element should i be using to use only low power and not cause a concern for my home electrical?

You would be best off sticking to 120v and under 15amps. 1500w element would be about 12.5 amps.

+1

I built a real nice RIMs heater for my all electric rig. I have 50amp, 220v going into my control panel, but built the RIMs heater with a 1500watt element so I "could" plug it into any household outlet.

If you have a 20amp outlet/circuit available, you could go to a 2000watt element, but I'd suggest sticking with 1500w.
