OK, so my commercial brew consumption has really slowed down and the basement fridge is really full. For kicks I did a brief inventory...not the numbers for each, but just an inventory of what commercial beer is in my refrigerator right now:

Wychwood Hobgoblin
Pilsner Urquell
Arrogant Bastard
Sierra Nevada Harvest Wet Hop Ale
Troegs Hopback Amber
Bear Republic Racer 5
Bear Republic Red Rocket
Three Floyds Alpha King
Victory Hop Devil
Victory Hop Wallop
Bell's Kalamazoo Hopsolution
Bell's Hopslam
Paulaner Salvator
Sam Adams Imperial Pilsner
Sam Adams Imperial Stout
Sam Adams Imperial Double Bock
Goose Island Matilda
Mad Anthony's Porter
Lagunitas Red
Flying Dog Double Pale Ale
Very Bad Elf Special Reserve
Coopers Sparkling Ale
Lakefront IPA
Heavy Seas Loose Cannon
Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA
Fat Tire
New Holland Cabin Fever Brown
Sand Creek Wild Ride IPA

I count 28. Can anyone beat 28?

That depends... does 0 beat 28? :D

I don't keep commercial in stock. If I want some I'll typically just pick some up on the way home and then it's gone a few hours later. :drunk:

That's quite a stash. There are quite a few on that list that I've never tried and would *love* to get my hands on:

Sierra Nevada Harvest Wet Hop Ale
Troegs Hopback Amber
Bear Republic Racer 5
Bear Republic Red Rocket
Three Floyds Alpha King
Bell's Kalamazoo Hopsolution
Sam Adams Imperial Pilsner

How far are you from Cincinnati? I'm positive that some of that list came from a place called (I think) Jungle Jim's...or something. Huge food store with a really good beer selection. The Hopsolution came from Sam's in Chicago.

I really enjoy the Bear Republic brews that I've had. The Racer 5 is terrific.

I can get Bell's, I've just never had the Hopsolution.

I'm about 2.5 hours from Cincy. I've heard that Jungle Jim's is just enormous, but I've never been there.

How's the Flying Dog Double Pale Ale??

I like it. I think there's only one of the four left. I'm a poor beer reviewer so I'll not try and speak about undercurrents of raisin and a spicy nose reminiscent of herbs and seawater or anything. To me it comes off like a more balanced Double IPA, with the malt character ramped up a bit to match the hops. I think it checks in at 11% ABV and almost has a Barley Wine feel to it, though it doesn't have that sort of cloying sweetness than many Barley Wines have.

It's well worth a try if you like big beers.
